and sunday at church she would not sit still. she wanted to share her snacks with all the grandparents on our row, so she just walked back and forth smiling and sharing with each of them. it was cute to watch, and i'm sure it made their day, but then when i picked her up she would kick and scream. adorable, right? not so much.

how to waste an hour
so i have been neglectful in getting jenna's 1 year-old portraits taken. this is kinda important to my family, and i cannot believe that she is closer to 14 months-old for this session. the last time i had jenna's portraits taken she was still a squishy baby who stayed where you put her. boy have things changed! the entire time this was her pose-
seriously- she tried to run away. she would sit and cry, i would sing 'if you're happy and you know it' and then she would smile and clap. so she is either running away, or clapping in every picture.
this is jenna with the duck that i'm sure is covered with lots of other kids yucky germs. she liked to hold it, but kept wanting to give it back to the non-helpful photographer lady. how cute is she blowing kisses with her entire hand covering her face? dave was entertained by the experience, while i was just frustrated. i don't think we will be heading back to sears anytime soon. i'm not yet going to post the pose that we chose. it really was the only one that came out nice....

You should have given her a bow or a pony on her head - make her look more girly. No matter what she's doing in the picture, she'll still look adorable. It's a fun stage to remember and with pics of her moving constantly, you won't be able to forget!
we opted for the clip to the side. its a good look for her- her pony still sticks up pretty straight.
sounds like the kind of experience that is a huge pain at the time but kind of funny looking back on. She's a typical 1 year old! And she looks adorable regardless of whether or not she's smiling or sitting still
We started going to JcPenney's I think they did a better job and tried to get more involved. We need to Abby's pictures taken too ugh.
Oh, the photographer's studio is terribly frustrating. If you notice, Caroline's picture on Grandma's grandkid's wall is NOT professional!
