i mentioned a few weeks back about dave putting shelves up in the garage, and failed to include pictures. he installed the corner shelves in three of the garage corners- which really makes the most out of other wise wasted space. the long shelf allows stuff to get off the floor, and make the car doors easier to open.
we also finally cracked down and installed cabinet locks in a few places. under the sink in the kitchen and our bathroom, and one of the drawers in our bathroom. jenna just moved onto another cabinet, while ella spent a few minutes trying to figure it out before she gave up. my bathroom counter is finally cleared off! before, while i was getting ready, and the girls were 'helping', i would just take all the stuff they shouldn't get into and put it on the counter. so our counter was covered in body spray, non childproof vitamin countainers, shampoo and lotions. i don't want them on every cabinet or drawer (they slow me down a little too much) but they are very handy when you have more than one toddler around.

we really need garage shelves.... where did you get them and how much do they cost? They look super great and I bet the extra space is super nice!
he actually only started with wood, screws and nails- no pre-made shelves here! i was very worried about that and the frustration level that the husband would reach- but he did great after planning it out for 3 weeks. we borrowed dad's saws and sawdust was everywhere! i did the painting :) dave says that all home improvement projects take twice the time and twice the money to finish.... i am finding that that is often the case.
You go, Dave!!! And bravo for painting, Heather. I love Jason's outdoor projects, but I don't paint them. And yes, they are a pain, but there's something cool about looking at the shelves and thinking "My husband built that!" After every project, Jason swears he's done. But next time vacation rolls around, he's at it again. I'm not complaining.
