trying to get a more recent picture

so, the NICU is not the worst place in the world, but i am anxious to get outta there. adam is doing so great. he's nursing like a champ, and has peed on himself and his bed twice now. yeah for boys!

dave stayed with him at the hospital the first night that we were home, so that i could rest. now that my milk is in (yippee!) i've been staying overnight, from about 9pm til 6am. they have a bed for me to sleep, and they just call me when he wakes up. it's a pretty good system.

i like being home when jenna gets up, and spending a few hours with her. i was very grateful this morning to get the chance to put her ponytails in and feed her breakfast, before heading back to the hospital to be with adam. we napped together today, and it was

simply blissful

to cuddle with him. i come home for a few hours (pumping when needed) and spend the evening with dave and jenna for dinner. and then it starts again. he had more blood work ran, and his numbers are improving (don't ask what the number are or what they mean, cause i don't really understand it- just knowing that they are better today than they were 2 days ago is enough for me)- which means the antibiotics are working. keep up the good work adam!







*silly story* dave and i, along with all the NICU parents, had to take an infant CPR class. we went to the class today, and learned alot. at one point in the presentation, the instructor told us to 'get acquainted with our mannequins'. at that direction, dave and i both reached for our dolls hand to shake it- at the same instant! it's so funny that we have the same witty sense of humor!
