family home evening

i decided to host a extended family home evening the other night. it was a fun, busy night filled with great food and fun company. dave's dad gave a great lesson on family, and all of the little ones were revert when they were suppose to be.

none of the pictures of the kids came out- they were moving too quickly for a steady shot. this was a picture that came out: the end result of a dinner feeding 9 adults, 3 school aged kids, 1 preschooler and 2 toddlers- and that's not all the dishes. my darling husband loaded the dishwasher and then washed the remaining dishes by hand.
(yes, this was to avoided the after dinner controversial conversation, but none the less, i didn't have to do the dishes.)
it took nearly all the plates we had, and all the forks, but was worth it. thank you to all that could come and make it an enjoyable evening.

I can't believe Dave shies away from controversy too much, considering he's married to you, miss Democrat. :) I'm sure he holds his own.
