2014 in review

So I feel like I had this all ready to go a few weeks back, and then the computer crashed on me. Grr. We got it all up and running again just for life to get in the way. So let's see if I can get this taken care of once and for all... Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy 2015!

2014 was a good one filled with lots of exciting adventures...
We attended the Gilbert Temple open house

Took the kids to Disneyland!

David ran a marathon in just under 6 hours,
and he spent the next 8 weeks on crutches thanks to an ankle sprain
and stress fracture in his leg.

I dressed these three cuties up to match at Easter
Dave's parents returned home to Tucson after their 2 year mission in Hawaii

This might possibly be my favorite picture of the year at Dave's work party.

Gah! This guy joined us, just over 2 week early.

And just like that we have FOUR kids.

These two started 2nd grade and Kindergarten.
 Adam's picture here went
VIRAL on my facebook page. Hilarious, huh?
We had retakes. It wasn't nearly as funny.

There were a few adventures here and there- this picture was
taken on our own Mount Lemmon.

Phoenix got a temple too!
David drove a race car- that was fun!

David and I had our first date (post baby) WITHOUT a baby- big deal.

ALL my siblings were at my parent house the week before Christmas.
We haven't all been together since my wedding.

LOVE This!

Jenna is anxiously awaiting her 8th birthday later this year, where she gets to choose to be baptised. She's doing wonderfully in school and has made it a goal to get all A's to remain on the Principals list. Her piano playing is progressing and she's been helping out more and more with chores around the house.

Adam is loving kindergarten. He excels in everything he is taught and is always talking about his friends. He is quick to remind me to 'get Lucas' whenever he even begins to fuss. He gets his homework done with little or no help and is always in a hurry to play outside. We simply must find a soccer or baseball team for this spring.

Megan is almost 3 going on 13. She is talking more and more but is also quickly frustrated at us for not understanding her. She ADORES her baby brother and sings 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" at almost every wimper. She still loves Minnie Mouse, but is branching out to princesses and ALL things girly. Most days she wears a crown.

Lucas is the happiest boy in the world in his moms arms. He sleeps okay most nights, but not always. I think he will be all the more happy once he can move around a little better. We all love having him in our family and keep talking about all the things he is going to be doing by next Christmas.

David made a goal to race in Tucson's annual Tour de Tucson fall of 2015. He got a new bike for his birthday and has enjoyed exploring the wonderful area we live in. Work is going 'just okay', but he's still doing it and doing well.

And me? Well, my life is consumed with a small boy and a small girl and getting the other boy and girl to and from school and homework done and meals made and meals cleaned up from and finding time to sleep and maybe clean a little. I enjoy serving as our Stake's Primary Secretary- it's fun visiting and getting to know the leaders and children in the other wards. I am grateful everyday for the chance I have to be a parent along side a wonderful companion.

Life really is pretty dang good.

When did Dave drive a race car? Guess I missed that one. And you, you do the most important job there is, keeping your home running smoothly and loving those precious children. We love you all.
