right now i should be decorating my midterm cake to be entered in the fair... but i'm blogging. jenna just woke up in a very wet bed, so i started some laundry, cleaned her up, and she is playing nicely on the floor (she has not nursed since 9 last night, and should be hungry, but if she is playing nicely i should take this moment). it has been a busy week. my fabulous sister-in-law lisa is outta town helping her sister move, so i was helping with her kids- all 4 of them! 4 girls + jenna makes for some fun days. the older girls went to school, so most of the day it was just my jenna + 18 month old ellanor + almost 5 year old noelle. it was a blast! my sister sarah called me one day while i was driving the van with all five of them coming back from school. they were all either sleeping (the babies) or playing silly games with each other in the back while a backyardigans cd played on the radio. needless to say, i got a little taste of my future. next school year ella is going to spend her days with us, and i can't wait. she is such a sweet girl, and to be completely honest we need the money to make our mortgage payment. spending these days with the girls made me seriously think about our magic number. how many kids do i want? when can i have another one? spacing has always been a concern of mine. i want another baby soon, but when is too soon? i would watch ella just wanting to be cuddled when i was nursing jenna, or both girls being tired and needing to be rocked to sleep at the same moment. at 18 months, she should still get to be a baby. when will jenna be a big sister? if only i knew... i am just going to rely on my heavenly father to let us know as a family that the next one is waiting patiently for us to be ready.
we got some bad news on the house that we are building too. it was suppose to be ready some time between mid may and early june, but because of some set backs that the builders should have prevented, they are now telling us that it might not be ready until the end of august or even mid september! i cried. we signed on to this little house the week after jenna was born, and have been waiting too long already. the though of three more month in this cramped apartment do not sound like fun! we met with a real estate agent, and viewed about a dozen homes in two evenings. we found a few that we like, but are waiting for some more information from our builders before we make any moves. i just want to know what is going to happen! aggghhh!
i really do need to work on my cake. it should have been done earlier this week, but time has been a little tight. wish me luck, and i plan to include pictures once i get done. lets hope that little miss jenna can cooperate.
(p.s. was anyone else kinda disappointed in the office last night? it had it's moments, but was more uncomfortable than anything else watching michael and jan's destructive relationship. david and i were bummed.)

Wow, that does sound busy. About spacing children, I think you just do whatever you feel is best for you. I personally want mine spaced far apart (2+ years) but my sister had hers all really close together (16-18 months)she said it was busy when they were younger, but now that they are older (9,8,6) they are best buds and love to play together. Its a personal choice.
Seriously, I watched the Office too, and was super disappointed!!! Domestic violence is just not funny. I hope they improve for next week. Oh, and lucky for us, (most of the time) Heavenly Father only gives us one kid at a time. Love you!
