family weekend

so i sit down to blog our weekend, and realize that
i just don't have as many pictures as i thought.
i guess i would just grab the closest camera and snap pictures or i was
having too much funny to take pictures!

we headed to phoenix first thing friday morning to attend my brother-in-laws graduation from medical school. we were a little late, and sat down less than 10 minutes before they read his name and he walked across the stage. this is a huge accomplishment for aaron. after the ceremony, it was off to red robin for lunch. yummy! (most of aaron's family was able to visit from houston, and all of my sister's were there.) we were able to rest for just an hour or so before heading to the church to set up for the graduation/going away/family reunion celebration. aaron was commissioned as a captain in the us army- which was pretty cool. we now can call him 'captain' or 'doctor'. (i tragically do not have pictures- but check larissa's blog for a shot of their family- and hopefully sarah's once they make it to el paso.) we are sad that they will now be living in el paso and not up the street from my mom and dad, but we are excited for them to start their new life there too.

saturday was also an early day- which after a late night of cleaning up the church building and dealing with a cranky jenna was hard! we went tubing down the salt river with aaron and his siblings. fun fun! we were on the river for 3 hours and had a blast! i was determined not to get sunburned- but my three applications of 50 spf could not protect the very top of my legs that were just barely in the water the entire time. oh well- it is already feeling less painful. jenna had a great day with my mom and sisters. she didn't fuss much, got her portrait taken at the studio and fed herself a bottle! my kid is cool (see prior post)!

all this family togetherness time, and no great pictures. we put the three babies in the bath together, and my mom came in with a film camera! they were super cute together, but didn't last long enough for any of us moms to retrieve our camera. here is a cute shot of jenna and abby playing while audrey must have been sleeping.
