i have a quote on a mirror that hangs in our bedroom that reads:happiness is being married to your best friend.
how true is that!?!! i have been blessed for the last 2 years to share my life with my BEST friend. not only is he seriously my soul mate, father of my children, husband- but first and for most, my very best friend. it feels like we have been chasing our tails for the last month or so, and all of a sudden it is august 5th.
two years ago today, i was up early putting curlers in my hair and looking forward to becoming a mrs. i remember bits and pieces of that day, but not all the littlest details. you know how sometimes your memories are because of pictures? many of my vivid memories are those not captured in pictures. i remember the look on dave's face as i walked out of the visitors center bathroom in my wedding dress and he saw me for the first time. i remember sweating beyond belief and wondering whose idea it was to get married at noon, in august, in arizona. i remember being stressed for a number of reason- some of which only my mom, sarah, and dave know about. i remember walking into our luncheon with a smile on my face to a room full of family and our closest friends. it was a good day. and here we are- 2 years later. it has been said that the first couple years of marriage are the toughest. if that is true, I cannot wait for eternity! don't get me wrong, it wasn't always perfect and easy, everyday was not a love song. but we are happy and we love each other. i feel very blessed to be married to the man of my dreams. he makes me want to be my best self. he makes me feel beautiful. he tells me often how much he loves me. he tells me how much he appreciates all that i do. *sigh*
i am very much in love with my husband.

Congrats on 2 years!!! That's awesome. Isn't being married the best. I can't even imagine what children will be like. :) Your wedding pictures are beautiful!

That's so sweet, but unimpressive. Wait until you've been married 4 years - it's so much cooler. =) When you say things like "Only my mom, Sarah and Dave know about," it only leaves one to speculate... I've got all sorts of fun ideas.
