since jenna has been eating food, i have been really careful as to what she eats. dave has lots of food allergies in his family, while my family has none. i have learned alot from his sister and sister-in-law about the allergies that their kids have, and have tried to be cautious. last night for dinner we had reheated frozen pancakes, sausage and eggs (lazy/resourceful of me, right?). jenna loves pancakes and has been refusing veggies lately, so i dipped her pancakes in to some baby veggie goo and she ate them (karen, i told dave that you add veggies to your pancakes, but he's probably right that you didn't add gerbers garden veggies). i had scrambled eggs, dave's over medium, and jenna got just the yolk scrambled. wait, or is it the white? last night i feed jenna straight egg WHITES. after 3-4 bites i said, 'wait!'. kim had said that holly wasen't allergic to eggs until she had straight egg WHITES! i freaked out for a minutes, and then realized that jenna was fine. i asked dave if we should just make her a pb sandwich while i'm at it. i promise that the last few times we had eggs, jenna had her own scrambled yolk. what a nerd am i!
i'm trying to decide if her staying up til 10pm and getting up before 7am is an allergic reaction.
i doubt it, but i would like something to blame.

No, not garden veggies for us. My favorite thing to smuggle into pancakes, muffins, and waffles is sweet potato or squash. The kids can't tell the difference in the color. I omit an egg or two and the oil and my kids eat it up!!! They are all suspicious of my pizza though, because I put spinach in it. I'm going to have to try that again.
My question for you is, how do you know if Jenna has food allergies if you are avoiding giving her things she might possibly be allergic too? Will she go her whole life never eating specific foods because she "might" be allergic to them? I wonder..... we found out that Laney can only have one type of food.... because we tried something else and it made her sick, see where I'm going with this?
Keep smuggling. I'm with Riss, what if she's not allergic at all, and you've been paranoid for nothing? She's one - try it out. Good luck.
i am giving her these things. she has things with eggs in them- just not pure egg whites until this week. obviously she is not allergic. i might give her something with peanut butter in it, but probably not straight up peanut butter until she's two. i am being cautious because of family history- not for no reason. i would rather be cautious than sorry.
