green bean monster?!??

bananas? well of course. oatmeal? yes please. yogurt? sure, who doesn't. cookies? duh.
i think i had mentioned that a few weeks back our little girl that use to eat ANYTHING had suddenly become my greatest fear- a picky eater. she would shake her head at everything and even say 'no'. but suddenly, it's back to a wide open mouth at the dinner table. yippee.
the other night, we had a feast. we roasted our 11 pound turkey while we were at church, and afterward made some yummy bread crumb dressing with celery and onions. i opened a can of green beans to balance the meal- adding some delicious gravy to make them just a bit saucy. i place jenna's little plate on her tray, and she headed right for the green beans. i turned to dave and whispered, 'is she seriously eating a vegetable?' (i didn't want to tip her off that it was something good to eat). she ate at least a 1/4 cup serving that night. so last night, with our turkey leftovers, we whipped up some more gravy and added turkey to serve over rice (try it, so yummy). i thought the green-bean-eating must have been a fluke, so i opened another can with dinner last night. not only did she devour the green beans yet again, but she also could not get enough turkey and rice. so, i am happy to announce that my non-picky eater is back! i don't know how she does it with 2 and 2 1/2 teeth, but she does.

now if only i could get her to feed herself without getting 95% of it on the floor, i would be really happy. when dave sets our plate down, he always sits me next to jenna so that he can eat uninterrupted.

here is some old pictures because i don't have new ones to blog-

how cute are they?! i dressed them up to match, and then we stayed home all day. this is the best picture they would give me.

this is jenna from way back in june. seriously, i love this kid. look how fast they grow up and change.... awwwhhh

Hmmmmm Adam does the same thing when we eat or go to a restaurant. I ALWAYS sit next to Ethan. I think it's a guy thing! I'm glad Jenna's not picky anymore. It's so frustrating when they won't eat anything you give them!

Lucy used to be a great eater. Now she's very picky. One day, I asked her why she didn't eat something she used to like. She gave me that withering look of hers and said, "Because then I was a baby." Duh.

Emma and Abbey loved green beans as babies and still do to this day. Haven't tried them with the twins yet; been meaning to.
