we had a great, relaxing weekend that was long overdue...
saturday morning was spent watching conference and getting some spring cleaning done. dave just ordered a professional steam cleaner, and was more than anxious to give it a try. he steam cleaned the couch and all the floors! jenna did great during most of conference. she busied herself coloring, playing with her blocks, and helping me fold laundry. she just loves it when i color with her, and most of the time insists that i am working on the same page as her. she hands me the color she wants me to use, and away we go! i love that it's something we can do together.

(this picture was taking between sessions when we were watching Marley and Me.
great movie, but get a tissue, or a box of tissues in my case.)
saturday for dinner, brooke invited jenna and i to join her and the boys for a fun mcdonald's night while the dads were at the priesthood session. jenna enjoyed her first happy meal.
saturday night, intuit (where dave works) was hosting a night at the gaslight. we got greatly discounted tickets, and had a fun time at the late showing with jeff and lisa. we were very lucky that uncle andrew was willing to watch all 5 girls for us, even if the littlest ones were already tucked in bed when he got there.
we spent the sunday morning session at jeff and lisa's, because we had left jenna there overnight. it was fun playing conference bingo with the girls, but also much harder to pay attention- even if it was on the big screen. :)
home again for naptime and the last session (which, i'm going to be honest, might have overlapped a bit), but by then we were ready to get out of the house! i had only heard of aqua caliente park, and was anxious to give it a try. it is a beautiful desert retreat, kinda hidden, and we loved it! it had 3 different ponds, tons of walking paths, and of course jenna's favorite, ducks.

she kept her sunglasses on the entire time, and loved being just like mom and dad. can you believe she will be 18 months old tomorrow?! such a big girl, and not afraid to let you know.
we got home, had frozen pizza for a late dinner, and are now ready to be tucked in for some shut eye before monday gets here. such a great weekend! looking forward to a short week, and then Easter (and nursery)!

that's my favorite park ever. we didn't know there were ducks when we went, so we fed them what we had...cheerios and oatmeal globs. sorry, ducks. beggers can't be choosers.
sounds fun! we were going to call you too but the evening got away from us and we ended up just taking a walk around the neighborhood. we'd love to go with you next time though
I miss the Gaslight - it's so fun! And I love Agua Caliente park too. That was always a good group date place in high school! Ahh, memories.
