we waited in line over an hour to catch the bus tram to the base...
nearly 30 minutes in line to get through security...
10+ minutes to use the port-a-potties...
30 minutes to get some lunch...
you get the idea, right?

jenna really liked seeing the jets, but she did not like hearing them.

above is the helicopter we got to go in, and below is a picture of the kids in the helicopter

jenna got to pretend to fly it (notice the lollipop in her mouth ;)

we were happy we lugged the double stroller along, because at one point both kids crashed for nearly an hour. david and i got to sit and watch the first part of the blue angels.

it was a beautifully, sunny, 80 degree day in tucson- and none of us got sunburned. maybe a little dehydrated, but not sunburned. :)
*jenna has just began potty training and we got to use the porta potties 3x {successfully}*

All my years of being an Air Force brat and I've never attended the Air Show. Now, I love that stuff and it's never a good time to go. Next time the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds come, we're there! Glad y'all had a good time.
Same here -- grew up air force, never been! I always intended to. Jenna looks super cool with her shades and lollipop.
Jenna looked just like uncle Mark with a lollipop in the helicopter! Mark has to eat lollipops all the time, I will make sure he keeps some with him the next time Jen is around! Looks like you had tons of fun and those kids are adorable!
Glad you had fun, but I must comment on the fact that it was the Thunderbirds and not the Blue Angels! The Blue Angels are Navy and yes, they do come here sometimes, but I loved watching the Thunderbirds from our back yard, and no lines!
Glad you guys had fun. Sorry we were outta town and couldn't join you.
