i totally love this goof ball! i love that he claps his hands and loves playing peek-a-boo. i love that he drags his blue blanket around with him when he’s tired. i love that he LOVES spaghetti pie. i love that he wakes up most mornings happy as can be and will wait patiently to be freed from his crib. i love that he wrestles with jenna until one of them gets too squished by the other. i love that he’ll just wait at the top of the stairs to be rescued. i love that he loves playing in the tub and in the pool. he’s such a joy to have around.
i love how sneaky and quick he’s gotten in the last couple weeks. he’s still not very verbal- other than ‘da da’ at varying degrees of intensity- but he’s much more effective at communicating his needs. he gets into lots of trouble in the kitchen, so he’s often lifted up to the counter right next to dave and i while we work. check out his face below as he just shoved a giant piece of muffin in his mouth:
i don’t think the counter will last much longer, because he’s figured out that he can move around up there, and has panicked this mom more than once.
again, he helped himself to a muffin. and then preceded to eat the entire thing, and make a mess on the floor. BUT doesn’t he look happy?? how can i not love that face?
i was working pretty hard the end of last week to finish up the projects (next post all about them) i had started for my dear friend Sara’s baby shower. i probably had my nose turned to the sewing machine for far too long when this cutie crawled over to me and curled up on the floor to let me know that i needed to lay him down for naptime.
i’m smitten. as frustrating as the crying and clinginess can be, those deep brown eyes get me every time. every. time.
oh, and ps to the family member that experienced adam at his crankiest on sunday, he was much more pleasant after a long car nap and filling his diaper 2x’s. AND i’m convinced he must be getting some new teeth. let’s hope.

LOVE the muffin face.
That boy is so stinking cute.
I love watching you love him. Your kids are terrific, but that might be in part to having terrific parents.
I wish Natalie were as understanding as Adam about my time at the sewing machine. She lasts about 6.5 seconds before coming to my legs and crying. No playing on her own or calmly coming over to indicate naptime. Totally jealous of your patient boy.
He's such a doll. Moms, lock up your daughters.
