pumpkins 2010

IMG_1767    sadly, we did not make it to the pumpkin patch this year. i so wanted to get to apple annie’s in wilcox, but we never had a free saturday to make that trip. hopefully next year. so we {again} ended up at the pumpkin stand. i wanted some cute shots of the kids but adam was a wildman with all those pumpkins right at his feet. i think he dropped about 4 little ones before i gave up, put the camera away and just carried him. jenna and david continued on the search and we took 3 beauties home.IMG_1765

jenna wanted to cut them open, but i wanted them to last on our porch a little longer. i think aunt susan was the one that i got the idea to paint them from. i found all the craft paints that were stashed in different locations around the house, and jenna and i got busy.IMG_1769

she had a blast! thankfully, david occupied adam because i’m sure this could have been a disaster. maybe next year it can be a family activity.IMG_1770IMG_1772

who doesn’t love glitter? we added some for a little extra pop and i helped our girl put them on the porch.

I don't love glitter. It's messy. Cute pumpkins!

We are big advocates of pumpkin-painting around here! With little ones, they can actually get involved.

we have been trying to get to apple annies for a long time too - maybe next year, right? Love the painted pumpkins, you are such a cute mom!

So dang cute! I'm thinking of maybe painting pumpkins next year too but after seeing your pictures, it looks just as messy as carving, LOL!

Then they got eaten. Thanks for letting us come visit. We had fun give the kiddies loves.
