Since the Fair Grounds are less than 5 miles from our house, we figured we should take the kids this year. Overall, we had a good time. Jenna is still talking about it and asking if we can go again. We might skip next years just because it ends up costing so much and the crowds are not fun with little ones that like to explore.
Poor Adam was too short for ALL the rides, although he really wanted to try them. He was happy to get to try out this cool tractor while David and Jenna waited in line and rode the Ferris Wheel.
The face is because it’s a pirate ship ride…. ‘RRRRrrr’…. she loved all the lights and action.
Mom snuck in behind her in the halls of mirrors. Jenna only ran into about every other mirror. ;)
Corn dog- yummy. That was her dinner, while all Adam would eat was a churro. He ran right towards the trains and one of the fair workers had to stop him since he completely disregarded the rope. He did wait his turn and got his hands on the controls of the green train.
Inside the main exhibit hall, there was this super cool area set up for the little ones. They LOVED it! They had a bit of a scavenger hunt with activities to cross off their lists, and then they got their own ribbons. 
Adam did not enjoy the petting zoo, but Jenna and I would have spent an hour in there if it wasn’t already so late by the time we found it. The baby goats were ADORABLE and came right up to us. Jenna giggled when this little guy started chewing on her skirt. She wasn’t afraid to pet them at all! Some of the bigger ones were a little more anxious, but she stayed fairly calm.
It was 8:30 as we were heading towards the exit, and couldn’t get to the car soon enough. The Monkey Show was set up right by the exit and we figured we might as well sneak in since it was starting. Grandma pulled some candy out of her purse, and both kids giggled at the monkey’s jokes. Adam sat on all of our laps and had his shoes off by the end of the show, but we were glad that we stopped to watch it.
After finally finding our car in the parking lot, and heading home for quick showers, the little ones were tucked into bed and sound asleep by 10 pm. 4 hours of fun for $40…. not too bad, but definitely a special treat.

Looks like you guys had fun! It sounds like you had the same experiences with Adam as we did with Matthew. He was also too small for the rides, luckily one of the workers let him at least go on the elephant ride. He didn't enjoy the petting zoo either, but I sure did. I love the little animals. It would have been fun to have seen you there! :)
Oh I miss the pima county fair! I never went on the rides - the exhibits were cool enough!
How fun! I like the pics. I remember going to the Pima County Fair when I was a kid. You are making great memories. :)
