May Dayz

{clearly, I'm behind on posting, my 'may 12' picture folder has lots of excited events that i have yet to post. boo! megan really really hates sitting at the computer with me, and it seems like other things come up when she's sleeping or content. let's see if we catch up...}

    These kids of mine LOVE love Love the Tucson Children's Museum. They have made tons of updates in the last year, and it really is a great place to spend a couple hours. They have been begging for the last month, so I finally caved and braved it with 3 kids.

    They opened the doors to the new science room *just* as we were walking in, and boy was it awesome!

    Megan did wonderfully in her stroller, and thankfully only needed to be nursed once while the big kids were exploring. We are so glad that we have a membership and can come explore the Children's Museum on our hot Tucson summer days.

   Our Church group had a Luau! We made pineapple-upside down cupcakes the morning of, so by the time Dave got home and it was time to go, Jenna could not have been more excited! We had to drive about 40 minutes to get to the site, but it was more than worth it. A member's father has spent the last 30 years making his home a Hawaiian retreat, and it was over-the-top amazing!

    Snow cone appetizer anyone? Every kid in the place had blue/ red faces and drips down they shirts- wonderful.

    There was more than one pond... seriously unbelievable. The food was wonderful too. We ducked out during the show, because it was already 8 pm and we had the 40 minute drive home. Thanks to the snow cone, the small ones stayed away and got quick baths before being tucked into bed.

   Dave's group at work hosted a 'Day at the Zoo' for the employees and families. Of course, our kids love the zoo and we try to go about 2 times a month when it's not too hot, but we didn't want to miss seeing friends and free lunch. We also got an private 'meet the animals' adventure, which Jenna loved. 

    She was adorable sitting on her stool and raising her hand to answer all the questions. Adam was not at all interested, so Dave and I took turns wrestling with him.

   Preschool is done! We couldn't have been happier with our preschool group; great moms and great kids. Jenna is super sad that we won't be seeing most of them as much anymore on such a regular basis. I hosted this past week and was in charge of the 'Graduation' party. We did lots of review games and made their cool shirts. They all enjoyed the sharpie tie-dye, an easy idea I found on Pintrest. Megan choose this day to be her fussiest yet, but thankfully we still managed.

  For graduation we invited all the mom's and little brothers (+ two babies sisters) to our house for a breakfast party. We made our graduation hats, received our portfolios for the year, and played! It worked out perfectly.
