1st grader

Seven years ago, I was gearing up for my first day of first grade (as the teacher). Now it's our Jenna's turn. She picked out some cool shoes and the sparkliest backpack to offset the mundane of her uniforms.

She wanted to wear her new headband on her first day. She was super excited to
pack a lunch and be at school all day.

We parked and walked her in, although mostly for me and not her.
She was ready and hardly squeezed me goodbye.

These two crazies did well for being out and about much earlier than we are use to. By the time we got to the car, Adam was already saying he missed Jenna.

Adam snapped these last two shots of Jenna's teacher, Mrs. Gary (who happens to be a great friend from our church) and of Jenna with a bubble in her mouth (to help her be quiet).

We are very happy with her school and the good friends we have in the neighborhood willing to carpool. It's only 15 minutes away, but that can get crazy for drop off and pick up. We drive 1 morning, and pick up 3 afternoons... hopefully we can find time for Megan to nap.

Here's to a great school year at Legacy Traditional!

She looks so ready to take school on, and such a styling girl. Even if she wears a uniform, she will make her statement! They are all getting so big.
