when dave brought me home from the hospital the other day, my mom was waiting outside with jenna to greet us as we arrived. when we turned the corner, and i saw her, i said to dave, 'ah, my baby.' dave was quick to remind me that jenna is no longer the baby, but now officially the 'big girl'.
we got a toddler bed on craigslist, in hopes of making the transition before baby. jenna is not at all interested in sleeping in it (would love help with that one...) but i often catch her playing in it. i was in the other room, but snuck in with the camera to capture her in her big girl bed with all of her important toys.
here she is watching cartoons holding her doll Annie. Annie's newborn size diaper is taken off many times each day, and she always asks for help putting it back on.jenna, i can't wait to bring adam home so that you can really start being the big sister.

Glad to hear everything is improving! When Sadie first started in a big girl bed, she fell asleep on the floor for the first few nights/weeks. Expect that! We put a gate up at her door so she has to stay in her room, and I learned which toys I could keep in there and which ones I had to remove (mainly the books since she loves them so much). It will be difficult at first, but they figure it out!
I'm so glad he is getting better! That picture of the iv is so sad, poor little guy! As for the toddler bed, Ethan did the same thing, he would NOT sleep in it but would play on it so we just left it in his room so he could get used to it, then one day he slept in it!. Then he had a phase of sleeping on the floor, so we just put some blankets on the floor and it worked fine, then after a while we moved the blankets from the floor to the bed and he has been sleeping in it just fine. Sorry for the novel...she will get used to it, it just takes a while! Let us know if you guys need anything, and keep us updated on Adam!
