This was
Jenna's day-time outfit. she liked that it had Rudolf on it, and would break into singing the song at multiple points throughout the day.

Here's the little guy at Christmas Eve dinner. He's such a stud in plaid, huh?

Both of our kids were UNHAPPY at Christmas Eve at the
Scott's. Which is just weird: cousins, food- what's not to like? Maybe too much excitement...? Not such fun for their mom and dad with a cranky kid hanging on us all evening long, but none the less, we wouldn't have missed it for the world. Jenna wore her party dress and was a hit.

We ate and played games and did a Nativity play. It has become an exciting tradition. On the way home, we let Jenna sit on my lap in the passengers seat and drove around the neighborhood a bit to look at lights. She loved it! We drove slow and saw lots of lights. Of course, she protested when it was actually time to get buckled and head home.

Let me guess. You had to spend Christmas Eve at one parent's place, Christmas Day at your parents, and next year you will switch, because like it or not, you have to please everyone. And hoorah, with all the fuss and breech of routine, the kids get stressed out too. Icing on the cake. Well, that's my life anyway! Big fat recipe for disaster. Now I just don't anticipate it going well, and I can make it through the week.
Love the outfits!
