We wanted to do something fun since David was off work. I convinced the kids to talk their dad into driving us up the mountain to see the snow. Sadly, we didn't get going until just before lunch, but we were on our way. Everyone was excited and all our cold weather clothes were found and packed up. I called the highway hotline and it said the road was open. So we headed out.
After the 40+ minute drive, and a stop for picnic food, we noticed all the traffic. We waited- hoping for the best and not wanting to disappoint the kids, but were turned away with the rest of the long line of cars. Jenna was upset about not seeing snow, as was Adam, but both were happy with playing at the park.

The bars were cold, so she asked for her gloves.
We had fun playing outside even if it wasn't in the snow.

Meh. Snow sucks. My sister just broke her tookus biffing it in the snow, and my nephew smashed his face into a trailer while sledding. Hideous. No thank you.
