FINALLY cold outside!

we got a nice storm the other night... rain and thunder and lightning and with that came a drastic drop in the temperature. in case you are unfamiliar with tucson weather, it has still been in the 80's (with a few days reaching the 90's) for all of october and november. don't get me wrong- i am SOOO NOT complaining (maybe just a little tiny bit)... but it's hard to get into the Christmas Spirit when it's still so warm. i like wearing sweaters, but have yet to put away the flip flops. jenna's still been wearing her summer jammies {short sleeves} and i've only had to put the kids coats on once. all of her cute Christmas dresses are long sleeved, and it's just been too warm for them- UNTIL NOW.

this rain was fabulous! we opened up the window and let the kids soak it in. {that is until the neighbors went out for a smoke- yuck!}
thankfully, i found adam some warm fluffy pajama's, and jenna had a pair of hand-me-downs from a cousin- so we were set the other night. heater and footy pajama's= finally necessary.
jenna obviously didn't care that i was excited about this occasion, and as you can tell, didn't want to pose for me. oh well. you get the idea though, right?

next step, put up the decorations! yippee!


*** on another note, i have been trying to figure out where to put the tree in our living room. we've done some rearranging since last year, and it won't work the same way. in an effort to make room, we took the baby swing apart. it was a little sad. he hardly ever uses it anymore (mainly because he's just too big and busy), but i liked having it there. taking it down kinda means that i don't have a new baby around anymore. -sniff, sniff- i think i'll be okay. as i was taping the box up, i found myself wondering when we would be putting it together again. don't be confused by that statement- i am in absolutely NO RUSH at all to add another to this family, but we know there will be others. for now, it's getting packed away- to make room for CHRISTMAS!! ***
